Foreign Exchange Program
BECOME A USA OUTBOUND PARTICIPANT - APPLICATION
The following steps are required to fully submit your application for IFYE program participation:
- Retrieve, complete, and submit the initial IFYE application linked here and at the bottom of this webpage, along with your photo and résumé.
- Submit the non-refundable $50 initial application fee.
- Upon receipt of your 2-page initial completed IFYE Participant application and other requirements, the National Program Director will share a link to the supplemental application.
- Retrieve, complete, and submit this supplemental application in the format listed at the bottom of this page.
- Submit the additional $100 non-refundable supplemental fee.
APPLICANT INTERVIEW(S) will follow a successful review of application and references.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS - Upon acceptance into the IFYE program, the National Program Director will share more details with you concerning the information below and other pertinent details, including pre-departure orientation(s) on the state and national levels.
- Medical Information (within 6 months of program departure), including but not limited to: Medical Release, Physician’s Report, Medical Form
- Other program documentation including: Travel Release/Authorization, Health Insurance Summary, Code of Conduct, and Participation Agreement.

- Fill out application form ONLINE

- Save to your computer, (NOTE: It is helpful to put at least last name of applicant as part of file name.)
- Return to webpage online and submit saved application that is on your computer and other requested documents.
- Download and work from your computer - returning later to upload and submit
- DOWNLOAD form/application to your computer - OPEN and fill in information tabbing between information on each page and save.(NOTE: It is helpful to put at least last name of applicant as part of file name.)
RETURN TO WEBPAGE FOR SUBMISSION
- Enter Applicant's Name and Email address where indicated
- UPLOAD APPROPRIATE SECTION OF APPLICATION and other documentation required
- INITIAL APPLICATION: UPLOAD application (2 pages), photo, and résumé
- SUPPLEMENTAL APPLICATION: UPLOAD application document (8 pages)
- Press SEND button.
