Treasurer - Larry Hancock

Larry Hancock was a 1969-70 IFYE from North Carolina to India. Larry grew up as an active 4-H’er in rural (non-farm) central North Carolina. Larry graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. and M.S. in Recreation, Parks and Tourism Management.

Larry has served as an Extension 4-H Specialist at NC State University since 1992. He has provided leadership for the state’s 4-H camping program, as well as serving as a consultant to help launch, and expand, Camp Corral - camps (now in 21 states) providing a no–cost, week-long camp experience for children in military families.

Larry previously served as a County Parks and Recreation Director and as an AGR (Active Guard & Reserve) Training Officer for the largest unit in the North Carolina National Guard. Larry’s initial job following five years of active military service was as a Regional Director for the National 4-H Foundation’s Agricultural Training Programs.

Larry and wife, Kathy, live in Raleigh, North Carolina. The love of their lives is their five children and six grandchildren.
